I have had the privilege of living in San Diego California, Mission Beach California, Winter Park Florida, Old Town Alexandria Virginia and Lake Como Italy. I have traveled and spent time in many states and countries including Germany, Switzerland and England. I have visited Yosemite National Park, The Sequoias, taken buggy rides in Sedona, gambled some money in Las Vegas, experienced the Grand Canyon, skied Lake Tahoe and Mammoth and surfed the waves in La Jolla and Mission Beach.
Now I have the privilege of living in Deep Creek Lake Maryland. The days of my surfing and skiing are no longer and I explore Deep Creek Lake with a little more caution and less activity. On the weekends it is in our Porsche at ? miles an hour or one of our Seaways at 12 1/2 miles an hour.
Actually some of my slowing down has not been good for my weight but has been great for enjoying a simpler life. But there is one area of my life that does not slow down and that is using technology to enhance my life AND real estate business.
In our home here at the lake we enjoy the use of computers, I phones, blackberries, turning up and down the volume of our TV with a phone, having our own server and other items laying around where we can push buttons or click. That excitement has carried over to my real estate business and I have spent the last 18 plus months designing a new web site, a unique marketing plan for my sellers and internet programs that will help buyers make good and informed decisions. I have also been working on my concierge service and have assisted folks with lodging and restaurant recommendations.
I have been real estate agent for 13 years. I worked with ERA Van Metre for 3 years and Long and Foster for almost 10 years. Yes, I come with lots of awards and I am proud of those. So let me brag for a paragraph. (You can skip this is you wish!) Van Metre Elite Club Member, NVAR Top Producer, NVAR Multi-Million Dollar Sales Club, Long and Foster's Gold Team, Top Agent For Settled Volume, Top Listing Agent. But two recognitions I am most proud of is my House Values Award for using the internet to enhance my business. In 2003 I settled over 5 million dollars in settled volume by using the internet. That business was done by using the internet to find leads and real estate business. It did not include my floor duty calls, open house and sign calls. My other reward was being selected as the E Business Agent in Old Town Alexandria. I competed with over 100 agents for this honor. E Business agents are recognized for their capabilities to use the internet to enhance their business and to work better for their buyers and sellers.
I am so excited about my move to Railey Realty. I am confident that joining Railey Realty along with my new marketing plan, web site and concierge service I am going to see my real estate business go to another level.
